Keith Washington is an English television director and former actor. Born on 16 February 1945 in Macclesfield, Cheshire, he began his career as an actor, appearing in series such as *Special Branch* (1969–1970) and playing Matthew in the miniseries *Jesus of Nazareth* (1977). He later trained as a director on the BBC Trainee Directors’ Course and worked as associate director at Harrogate Theatre.

Washington has directed numerous episodes of long-running British television dramas and series, including 30 episodes of *Brookside* (1982–2002), multiple episodes of *Casualty* (1988–2004), *The Knock* (1994–1996) and six episodes of *Jonathan Creek* (1998–1999). He received a BAFTA Television Award nomination for Best Drama Series in 1999 for his work on *Jonathan Creek*.
