## Biography

Ken Anderson was an American animator, art director, production designer and writer. He worked at Walt Disney Productions for 44 years and was described by Walt Disney as his 'Jack of all Trades'.

Born in Seattle, Anderson studied architecture at the University of Washington, graduating with a B.Arch. in 1934. He joined Disney in the 1930s and contributed to numerous films in roles including layout, art direction and story development. His credits include story work on *Cinderella* (1950) and *The Jungle Book* (1967), and production design on *One Hundred and One Dalmatians* (1961). He also worked on the development of Disneyland.

Anderson received the Disney Legends award in 1991 for Animation & Imagineering. He died in La Cañada Flintridge, California, in 1993.
