## Biography

Ken Mitsuda (29 April 1902 – 28 November 1997) was a Japanese actor. He appeared in more than fifty films between 1940 and 1983, often in supporting roles.

He played Prime Minister Fujiwara in Kenji Mizoguchi’s *Sansho the Bailiff* (1954). Other notable film credits include Genpaku Amano in Akira Kurosawa’s *Red Beard* (1965), Public Corporation President Arimura in *The Bad Sleep Well* (1960), Judge Araki in *I Live in Fear* (1955), and Teruyan in *The Ballad of Narayama* (1958).

Mitsuda was a founding member of the Bungakuza theatre company and remained active on stage until late in his career.
