## Biography

Ken Trew was a British costume designer who worked extensively in television. He joined the BBC in 1964 as a dresser and became an assistant designer the following year.

Trew contributed to *Doctor Who* (1963) across several decades, with credits spanning 1971 to 1989. He designed costumes for stories including *Terror of the Autons* (1971), *Snakedance* (1983), *The Mysterious Planet* (1986), *Time and the Rani* (1987), *Remembrance of the Daleks* (1988), *Ghost Light* (1989), *The Curse of Fenric* (1989) and *Survival* (1989), and created the look of the Seventh Doctor. He also worked on *Doctor Who: Dimensions in Time* (1993).

His other television credits include *The Onedin Line* (1971), *A Very Peculiar Practice* (1988), *Clarissa* (1991) and *An Ungentlemanly Act* (1992). Trew received a BAFTA nomination for his work.
