## Biography

Kenneth Haigh was an English actor. He first came to prominence as Jimmy Porter in the original 1956 Royal Court Theatre production of John Osborne's *Look Back in Anger*. He trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama in London.

Haigh's screen credits include the role of Brutus in *Cleopatra* (1963), an uncredited appearance in *A Hard Day's Night* (1964), and the lead in the television series *Man at the Top* (1970–72) and its 1973 film spin-off. He also portrayed Richard Francis Burton in the BBC series *The Search for the Nile* (1971) and Napoleon in *Eagle in a Cage* (1972).

Born in Mexborough, Yorkshire, Haigh died in London in 2018.
