Kenneth Ross is a Scottish-American screenwriter. He wrote the screenplay for the 1973 film *The Day of the Jackal*, directed by Fred Zinnemann.

His other credits include the screenplays for *The Odessa File* (1974), *Black Sunday* (1977) and *The Fourth War* (1990). He also provided English dialogue for *Brother Sun, Sister Moon* (1972) and contributed to the 1997 film *The Jackal*. Ross was nominated for a BAFTA Award for Best Screenplay for *The Day of the Jackal*.
