## Biography

Kent Cheng Jak-si is a Hong Kong film and television actor. He was born on 22 May 1951 in Shantou, Guangdong, China, and moved to Hong Kong as a child. He joined a film company in 1972 and began working in television after winning an acting competition at TVB in 1976.

Cheng moved into feature films in the early 1980s. He is a two-time winner of the Hong Kong Film Award for Best Actor, for *Why Me?* (1985) and *The Log* (1996). His credits include *Once Upon a Time in China* (1991) as Porky Wing, *Crime Story* (1993), *The Bodyguard from Beijing* (1994), *Flash Point* (2007), *Ip Man 2* (2010), *Ip Man 3* (2015), *Chasing the Dragon* (2017) and *Ip Man 4: The Finale* (2019).
