## Biography

Kent McCord, born Kent Franklin McWhirter on 26 September 1942 in Los Angeles, California, is an American actor. He began his career with small roles on The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet in the early 1960s after meeting Ricky Nelson at university. In 1968 he was cast by Jack Webb as Officer Jim Reed opposite Martin Milner in the police series Adam-12, which ran for seven seasons until 1975.

McCord appeared in films including Airplane II: The Sequel (1982) and Predator 2 (1990), in which he played Captain B. Pilgrim. His other television credits include Galactica 1980, MacGyver, Murder, She Wrote, JAG and Farscape. He has been married to Cynthia Lee Doty since 1962.
