## Biography

Kevin Rafferty was an American documentary cinematographer, director and producer. Born in Boston on 25 May 1947, he studied architecture at Harvard University and film at the California Institute of the Arts. He died in Manhattan on 2 July 2020.

Rafferty is best known for co-directing, producing and editing *The Atomic Cafe* (1982) with his brother Pierce Rafferty and Jayne Loader. He served as cinematographer on Michael Moore’s *Roger & Me* (1989), where he also mentored Moore. His other credits include directing *Blood in the Face* (1991), *Feed* (1992) and *Harvard Beats Yale 29–29* (2008).
