## Biography

Kieran Hardcastle is a British actor from Nottingham. A former member of the BAFTA award-winning Television Workshop in Nottingham, he worked in children's television and prime-time drama series, including a three-year role in the soap *Crossroads*.

He played Kes in Shane Meadows's *This Is England* (2006) and reprised the part in *This Is England '90* (2015). Other credits include Sam in *Weekend* (2011), Saul in *My Mad Fat Diary* (2013), Martin Dowling in *Waterloo Road*, and a Heathrow Baggage Handler in *Bohemian Rhapsody* (2018). He has also appeared in *Accused*, *Doctors* and *Emmerdale*.

Hardcastle has written and directed, including the short film *The True Meaning of Love* (2011).
