## Biography

Kim Chang-ju (Korean: 김창주) is a South Korean film editor and director. Born on 7 October 1972 in Seoul, he began working in the editing department on the 2005 film *Welcome to Dongmakgol*.

He has edited more than 60 films, including *Snowpiercer* (2013) for Bong Joon-ho, *A Hard Day* (2014) and *Tunnel* (2016) for Kim Seong-hun, and *The Witch: Part 1. The Subversion* (2018) for Park Hoon-jung. His television credits include episodes of *Kingdom* (2019). He won the Grand Bell Award for Best Editing for *Snowpiercer* and the Blue Dragon Film Award for Best Editing for *A Hard Day*.

Kim made his directorial debut with the 2021 thriller *Hard Hit*, on which he also served as editor and writer. He has since directed *Amazon Bullseye* (2024).
