Kim Hyung-koo is a South Korean cinematographer. He graduated in photography from Chung-Ang University in 1987 and from the Korean Film Academy in 1988, before earning an MFA in cinematography from the American Film Institute in 1993.

He began working as a cinematographer in the mid-1990s. His credits include *Peppermint Candy* (2000), *Memories of Murder* (2003), *The Host* (2006), *The Warrior* (2001), and several films directed by Hong Sang-soo, such as *Woman Is the Future of Man* (2004), *Tale of Cinema* (2005), *The Day He Arrives* (2011), *On the Beach at Night Alone* (2017), *The Day After* (2017) and *Hotel by the River* (2019). He has won awards for cinematography, including for *Memories of Murder*.
