Ueda is known for his appearances in twelve consecutive Toho Godzilla films from *Godzilla vs. Biollante* (1989) to *Godzilla: Final Wars* (2004). His roles include General Dobashi in *Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla* (2002) and *Godzilla: Tokyo S.O.S.* (2003), Deputy Commander Hyodo in *Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla* (1994), General Hyodo in *Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla II* (1993), Marutomo Employee in *Godzilla vs. Mothra* (1992), Former Lagos Island Soldier Ikehata in *Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah* (1991), and Aquarium Watchman in *Godzilla vs. Destoroyah* (1995).
