## Biography

Koyuki, born Koyuki Kato on 18 December 1976 in Zama, Kanagawa, Japan, is a Japanese actress and model. She began her career as a model after winning a competition for the magazine Non-no in the mid-1990s and later appeared in numerous television dramas, films and advertising campaigns.

She rose to prominence in Japan with her role in the 2003 drama series *Kimi wa Petto*. Her first major international film role was as Taka in *The Last Samurai* (2003). Other notable credits include *Pulse* (2001), *Always: Sunset on Third Street* (2005) and the series *The Naked Director* (2019). She has been married to actor Kenichi Matsuyama since 2011.
