## Biography

Krishna Rao is an American film and television director and cinematographer. He began his career as a camera operator on films including *Halloween* (1978), *The Fog* (1980), *Predator 2* (1990), *Ricochet* (1991) and *Star Trek Generations* (1994).

His directorial debut was the science-fiction film *Crossworlds* (1996). He has since directed episodes of series including *The Pretender* (1999–2000), *Angel* (2000), *Dawson's Creek* (2001), *The Chronicle* (2001–2002), *She Spies* (2002–2003), *The Unit* (2007–2008), *90210* (2010–2011), *Hawaii Five-0* (2017–2018) and *Magnum P.I.* (2019–2021). Rao has also worked extensively as director of photography on *The Unit*, *Hawaii Five-0* and *Magnum P.I.*.
