Kristin Griffith is an American actress born on 7 September 1953 in Odessa, Texas. She trained at the Juilliard School and began her professional career in theatre, appearing in Broadway productions including A Texas Trilogy in 1976.

Griffith made her screen debut in Woody Allen's *Interiors* (1978) and appeared in James Ivory's *The Europeans* (1979). She played Mrs. McShane in Steven Soderbergh's *King of the Hill* (1993). Her later film roles include *Cold in July* (2014), *Ben Is Back* (2018), *The Devil All the Time* (2020) and *Things Heard & Seen* (2021).
