Kurt Michael Bensmiller is an American writer. He pitched the story for the *Star Trek: The Next Generation* episode "Time Squared", which aired in 1989, and wrote the story and teleplay for the *Star Trek: Deep Space Nine* episode "The Storyteller", which aired in 1993.

Bensmiller originally submitted the pitch for "The Storyteller" during the first season of *The Next Generation*. In 1992, he was asked by Michael Piller to adapt the story for *Deep Space Nine* and worked on the script over Christmas 1992.
