Kym Karath is an American actress, born on 4 August 1958 in Los Angeles, California. She is best known for playing Gretl, the youngest of the von Trapp children, in the 1965 film *The Sound of Music*.

Karath began acting as a child, appearing in *Spencer's Mountain* (1963), *The Thrill of It All* (1963) and *Good Neighbor Sam* (1964).
