## Biography

Laraine Newman is an American actress, comedian and voice actress. She was a founding member of the Groundlings improv group in Los Angeles and studied mime with Marcel Marceau. Newman was one of the original cast members of the NBC sketch series *Saturday Night Live*, appearing from 1975 to 1980.

She has provided additional voices for numerous Pixar films, including *Finding Nemo* (2003), *WALL·E* (2008), *Up* (2009), *Toy Story 3* (2010), *Inside Out* (2015) and others. Newman appeared as The Director in an episode of the HBO series *Curb Your Enthusiasm* (2000). In 2017 the original *Saturday Night Live* cast, including Newman, was inducted into the Television Academy Hall of Fame.
