## Biography

Larry Pizer was a British cinematographer. Born in London in 1925, he began his career at the Alexander Korda Studios at Denham and later served in the Royal Navy during the Second World War. He worked as director of photography on more than thirty feature films and television movies.

His credits include *Our Mother's House* (1967), *Phantom of the Paradise* (1974), *The Europeans* (1979), *Timerider: The Adventure of Lyle Swann* (1982) and *Mannequin Two: On the Move* (1991). He also photographed the Bruce Springsteen music video "Dancing in the Dark" directed by Brian De Palma. Pizer was noted for his work on location and innovative lighting techniques.

He died in New York City in 2008.
