He is best known for providing the voice of Mater in the Pixar films *Cars* (2006), *Cars 2* (2011) and *Cars 3* (2017). He gained prominence as a member of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour with Bill Engvall, Ron White and Jeff Foxworthy, and starred in the related films and the television series *Blue Collar TV*. His other film roles include *Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector* (2006), *Delta Farce* (2007) and *Witless Protection* (2008). His catchphrase "Git-R-Done!" is also the title of one of his books.
