## Biography

László Rajk (1949–2019) was a Hungarian architect, production designer and activist. He trained as an architect and designed the permanent Hungarian exhibition at the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum before entering film work.

Rajk’s film credits include production design on *Son of Saul* (2015), *Sunset* (2018), *The Turin Horse* (2011) and *The Man from London* (2008), all directed by László Nemes or Béla Tarr. He also worked as art director or production designer on *The Martian* (2015), *Red Heat* (1988) and *When Trumpets Fade* (1998), collaborating with directors including Ridley Scott, Costa-Gavras and Miklós Jancsó.
