LaTanya Richardson Jackson is an American actress. Born LaTanya Richardson on 21 October 1949 in Atlanta, Georgia, she graduated from Spelman College and began her career in off-Broadway productions in New York before taking supporting roles in film and television.

Her film credits include *Fried Green Tomatoes* (1991), *Malcolm X* (1992), *Sleepless in Seattle* (1993), *Lone Star* (1996) as Priscilla Worth, *U.S. Marshals* (1998) and *The Fighting Temptations* (2003). Television appearances encompass *100 Centre Street* (2001–2002), *Grey's Anatomy*, *Blue Bloods*, *Luke Cage* (2016–2018) and *Show Me a Hero* (2015).
