## Biography

Laura Hastings-Smith is a British film and television producer. She began her career as a director of documentaries for Channel 4 and the BBC before moving into feature film production.

Her credits include the feature films *Hunger* (2008), *Chatroom* (2010), *X+Y* (2014), *Macbeth* (2015), *Mindhorn* (2016) and *The Little Drummer Girl* (2018), as well as television series such as *Top Boy* (2011), *Howards End* (2017) and *Hanna* (2020). She has also served as executive producer on *Prime Target* (2025). She was nominated for two BAFTA Awards.

Hastings-Smith studied fine art and lived for a time in Sydney, where she taught filmmaking. She later worked with the founders of Dazed & Confused magazine and produced *The Lives of the Saints* (2006) before establishing herself as a freelance producer.
