## Biography

Laura Mulleavy is an American fashion designer and filmmaker. With her sister Kate, she founded the fashion label Rodarte in 2005. The sisters studied at the University of California, Berkeley, where Laura read English literature.

Mulleavy and her sister have designed costumes for film, including the ballet costumes for *Black Swan* (2010). They also served as costume designers on the animated feature *Sing 2* (2021). In 2017, the sisters wrote, directed and designed the costumes for their feature film *Woodshock*.
