## Biography

Laurel Cronin was an American actress, singer and dancer. Born in Forest Park, Illinois, she spent thirty-five years working in Chicago theatre before moving to Los Angeles in 1990.

She appeared on Broadway in *Passione* (1980) and won the Joseph Jefferson Award for Best Actress in 1987 for her performance as Mrs Hardcastle in *She Stoops to Conquer* at the Court Theatre. Her film roles include Liza in *Hook* (1991), Devonia Peet in *Beethoven* (1992), Mary in *Housesitter* (1992) and Maida Gillespie in *A League of Their Own* (1992). She also appeared in the television series *Crime Story* (1986). Cronin died in Chicago in 1992.
