Laurel Near is an American actress. She was born on 3 October 1953 in Ukiah, California.

She played the Lady in the Radiator in David Lynch's *Eraserhead* (1977). Near trained in dance and theatre and is a 1971 graduate of Ukiah High School. She is the younger sister of performers Holly Near and Timothy Near.

Near co-founded the School of Performing Arts and Cultural Education (SPACE) in Ukiah, which converted a historic church into a theatre and school for youth and families.
