Lauren Lapkus is an American actress and comedian. Born Dorthea Lauren Allegra Lapkus on 6 September 1985 in Evanston, Illinois, she attended Evanston Township High School and graduated from DePaul University with a degree in English in 2008. She began performing improv at the iO Theater in Chicago.

Lapkus is known for her role as Susan Fischer in the Netflix series *Orange Is the New Black* (2013–2014, 2019). Her film credits include Vivian in *Jurassic World* (2015), Tracy in *Blended* (2014) and Millicent in *Holmes & Watson* (2018). On television she has appeared as Denise in *The Big Bang Theory* (2018–2019) and Jess in *Crashing* (2017–2019).
