Laurence Fox is an English actor. He trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, graduating in 2001, and made his film debut that year in *The Hole*.

He appeared in Robert Altman's *Gosford Park* (2001) and later played Sir Christopher Hatton in *Elizabeth: The Golden Age* (2007) and Mr Wisley in *Becoming Jane* (2007). Fox is best known for his role as Detective Sergeant James Hathaway in the television series *Lewis* (2006–2015). He is the son of actor James Fox.
