## Biography

Laurent Barès is a French cinematographer. He trained at the École Louis Lumière from 1986 to 1988 and began working as a camera assistant before becoming a director of photography in 1993. His first feature credit came in 1996.

Barès has shot numerous feature films, including the horror titles *Inside* (2007), *Frontier(s)* (2007) and *The Divide* (2012), and action films such as *Hitman* (2007) and *Overdrive* (2017). His television work includes episodes of *Crossing Lines* (2013–2014), on which he also directed, *Gangs of London* (2020–2022) and *Criminal Record* (2024). He has also photographed more than 500 commercials.
