Laurie Lynd is a Canadian film and television director and screenwriter. He was born on 19 May 1959 in Toronto, Ontario.

Lynd trained at the Canadian Film Centre. His early short films include *The Fairy Who Didn't Want to Be a Fairy Anymore* (1992), which won a Genie Award, and *RSVP* (1991). He directed the feature films *House* (1995) and *Breakfast with Scot* (2007).

His television credits include episodes of *Queer as Folk* (2000), *Murdoch Mysteries* (2008–), *My Babysitter's a Vampire* (2011) and six episodes of *Schitt's Creek* (2015). He also directed the documentary *Killing Patient Zero* (2019). Lynd has received a Directors Guild of Canada award and multiple other nominations.
