## Biography

Lawrence Doheny (14 April 1924 – 7 September 1982) was an Irish-born American television and film director. He emigrated to the United States in the 1930s and began his career directing episodes of series including *The Big Story* and *Rescue 8*. His only feature film credit was as writer and director of *Teenage Millionaire* (1961).

Doheny directed more than 100 television episodes across several decades. He is credited with 13 episodes of *Adam-12*, 12 of *The Rockford Files*, eight of *Baa Baa Black Sheep* and eight of *Magnum, P.I.*. He also directed the television films *Houston, We've Got a Problem* (1974) and *The Unwanted* (1975). He was married to Margaret Mangan and had three children.
