## Biography

Lawrence Kimble (21 September 1904 – 3 September 1977) was an American screenwriter. Born in Bakersfield, California, he worked as a reporter for The Bakersfield Californian from 1924 before making his screenwriting debut in 1936 with All American Chump. He was a charter member of the Screen Writers Guild.

Kimble contributed to numerous films in the 1930s and 1940s, including Four Daughters (1938), It All Came True (1940) and Zombies on Broadway (1945). From the early 1950s he wrote extensively for television, with credits on series such as Big Town, State Trooper and 77 Sunset Strip.
