## Biography

Lawrence Ko (Chinese: 柯宇綸) is a Taiwanese actor. Born on 28 April 1977 in Taipei, he is the son of director and actor Ko I-chen. He made his film debut as a child and trained in theatre at the Taipei National University of the Arts.

Ko is known for early roles in Edward Yang films, including Airplane in *A Brighter Summer Day* (1991), as well as appearances in *Mahjong* (1996) and *Yi Yi* (2000). He has also worked with Ang Lee on *Lust, Caution* (2007) and starred in *Jump Ashin!* (2011), for which he received a Best Supporting Actor award at the Taipei Film Awards.
