## Biography

Leanne Welham is a British director, writer and producer. After studying at Royal Holloway, University of London, she worked as an editor and made short films before directing for Channel 4 and producing freelance documentaries in Africa.

Her feature debut *Pili* (2017), co-written and filmed in Tanzania with non-professional actors, earned a BAFTA nomination. She has directed episodes of *His Dark Materials* (2020), *The Trial of Christine Keeler* (2020), *Conversations with Friends* (2022) and *Pachinko* (2024), on which she also served as executive producer.
