## Biography

Lee Allen was an American actor whose career spanned stage and screen. On Broadway he appeared as Patsy in the original production of *Marathon '33* (1963–64) and as a replacement for Eddie Ryan in *Funny Girl* (1964–67). He received a Tony Award nomination for Best Featured Actor in a Play for *Marathon '33*.

Allen played Eddie Ryan in the 1968 film adaptation of *Funny Girl*. His other screen credits include uncredited roles in *Battle Cry* (1955) and *Jeanne Eagels* (1957), as well as appearances in *The Breakup Artist* (2004) and episodes of series such as *Cheers*.
