Lee Edward Colston II is a writer and playwright. A Philadelphia native, he previously worked as a prison guard and MMA fighter before training as an actor.

He earned an MFA in Acting from the Juilliard School in 2016. Colston wrote for the FX series *Fargo* (staff writer on season 4, 2020, including the episode “East/West”) and *For Life* (2020). His play *The First Deep Breath* premiered at Victory Gardens Theater in Chicago in 2019, winning a Jeff Award for Best New Work and a Steinberg/ATCA New Play Award in 2020.

He is a co-producer on *American Sports Story* (2024) and has developed television projects with HBO and FX.
