## Biography

Lee MacGregor (born Leo Robert Weismantel) was an American actor. He appeared in supporting and uncredited roles in numerous films during the late 1940s and early 1950s, often in military or western parts.

He made his screen debut in 1947 and is credited as Lieutenant Zimmerman in the 1949 war film *Twelve O'Clock High*. Other credits include *Gentleman's Agreement* (1947), *Sitting Pretty* (1948) and *Road House* (1948). A veteran of the Second World War, he served as a medic in the US Army before changing his name and signing contracts with 20th Century-Fox and RKO.

MacGregor retired from acting in 1952 and returned to El Paso, Texas, where he died in 1961. He is buried at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
