## Biography

Lee Meredith is an American actress. Born Judith Lee Sauls on 22 October 1947 in River Edge, New Jersey, she grew up in Fair Lawn, New Jersey, and studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts after high school.

She is best known for playing Ulla, the Swedish secretary, in Mel Brooks's *The Producers* (1968). She also appeared as the nurse in a sketch in the original Broadway production of *The Sunshine Boys* (1972) and repeated the role in the 1975 film version. In 2002 she contributed an interview and recreated her dance for the 35th-anniversary DVD edition of *The Producers*.

Meredith is married to film producer Bert Stratford.
