## Biography

Lee Poll (1922–2008) was an American set decorator and costume designer. Based in New York, she assisted Broadway and film costume designers early in her career. She contributed to *The Lion in Winter* (1968), assisting with costumes and set logistics during production difficulties on the film produced by her then-husband Martin Poll.

Poll worked as a set decorator on films including *Breaking Away* (1979), *Places in the Heart* (1984), *Steel Magnolias* (1989), *The Karate Kid Part II* (1986) and *Sleeping with the Enemy* (1991). She served as set decorator on 88 episodes of the television series *Murder, She Wrote* (1992–1996) and received Emmy nominations for her television work. In 2006 she was awarded a lifetime achievement award by the Set Decorators Society of America.
