Leelee Sobieski is an American actress and artist. Born in New York City, she was discovered by a casting agent while at school and began appearing in television films in the mid-1990s.

She gained prominence with roles in *Deep Impact* (1998), *Never Been Kissed* (1999) and *Eyes Wide Shut* (1999). Sobieski received Emmy and Golden Globe nominations for her performance in the television film *Joan of Arc* (1999) and a further Golden Globe nomination for the miniseries *Uprising* (2001).

She continued working in film and television until retiring from acting in 2012. Sobieski is married to fashion designer Adam Kimmel and has focused on her art career.
