## Biography

Leo Geter is an American actor, writer, producer and director. He began his career as an actor with roles in films including *Footloose* (1984), *Silent Night, Deadly Night* (1984), *Near Dark* (1987), *No Way Out* (1987), *The Stand* (1994) and *Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers* (1995). He also appeared in guest roles on television series such as *Northern Exposure* (1990) and *Amazing Stories* (1985).

Geter later worked in television production and writing. He served as a writer, story editor, producer and executive producer on *The Closer* (2005–2012) and *Major Crimes* (2012–2016), and directed several episodes of the latter. He also wrote episodes of *Longmire* (2017) and *Close to Home* (2005–2007).
