## Biography

Leon Thomas III is an American actor, singer, songwriter and record producer. Born on 1 August 1993 in Brooklyn, New York, he began his career as a child actor on Broadway, appearing in *The Lion King* (2003) as Young Simba, *Caroline, or Change* (2004) and *The Color Purple*.

He gained recognition for playing André Harris in the Nickelodeon series *Victorious* (2010–2013) and appeared in films including *August Rush* (2007) as Arthur and *Detroit* (2017). As a member of the production duo The Rascals he has co-written and produced for artists such as Ariana Grande, Drake and SZA; he won a Grammy Award for co-writing SZA’s “Snooze”.
