## Biography

Leon Vitali was an English actor. He trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and appeared in British television series including *Z Cars* and *Dixon of Dock Green* before making his feature film debut in 1973.

Vitali played Lord Bullingdon in Stanley Kubrick's *Barry Lyndon* (1975). He subsequently worked with Kubrick as personal assistant, casting adviser and in other capacities on *The Shining* (1980), *Full Metal Jacket* (1987) and *Eyes Wide Shut* (1999), in which he also appeared as the Red Cloak. Later screen roles include *Little Children* (2006) and *Romeo & Juliet* (2013). A 2017 documentary, *Filmworker*, examined his career.
