He played Kimar in the 1964 film *Santa Claus Conquers the Martians*. Hicks also appeared in an episode of the television series *Route 66* (1964) and in *Faith for Today* (1959). He had an uncredited role in the 1961 film *Guns of the Trees* and performed in the Living Theater's 1952 production of *Desire Trapped by the Tail*.
