## Biography

Leonard Kantor was an American writer of plays and television drama. His 1953 Broadway play *Dead Pigeon*, based on the death of the Murder Inc. informant Abe Reles, was adapted into the 1955 film *Tight Spot*.

He wrote episodes for numerous crime and procedural series, including *The Untouchables* (1959), *The Fugitive* (1963), *The F.B.I.* (1965), *The Streets of San Francisco* (1972) and *Hart to Hart* (1981). He also contributed extensively to the daytime soap *The Doctors*.

Kantor died in New York City in 1984.
