Leonard Praskins (1896–1968) was a British screenwriter who worked primarily in Hollywood. Born in Meltham, Yorkshire, England, he began his career writing for stage and film in the late 1920s.

He received a writing credit on the MGM film *The Champ* (1931), directed by King Vidor. Other notable screen credits include *Call of the Wild* (1935), *Treasure Island* (1934), *Bird of Paradise* (1932) and *Three Violent People* (1956). He also contributed to numerous television series in the 1950s and 1960s, including episodes of *Wagon Train* and *Maverick*.

Praskins wrote the play *The Charlatan*, which was produced on Broadway in 1922 and adapted as a film in 1929.
