## Biography

Levi Stubbs was an American singer and actor, best known as the lead vocalist of the Motown group the Four Tops. Born Levi Stubbles on 6 June 1936 in Detroit, Michigan, he performed with the group from the 1950s until health issues curtailed his touring in 2000.

Stubbs provided the voice of the carnivorous plant Audrey II in the 1986 film *Little Shop of Horrors*. He also voiced Mother Brain in the animated series *Captain N: The Game Master* (1989–1991). He died on 17 October 2008 in Detroit.
