## Biography

Lewis Davidson (1926–1990) was an American television writer and occasional director. Born in Detroit, Michigan, he wrote episodes of *The Avengers* (1961), *Danger Man* (1960, as Lew Davidson) and *The Saint* (1962–1963).

His other credits include multiple episodes of *Zero One* (1962–1965) and *The Alfred Hitchcock Hour* (1964–1965), as well as the screenplay for the film *Hands of the Ripper* (1971, as L.W. Davidson). He directed several short films in the 1950s and early 1960s. Davidson was married to Mary Davidson.
