## Biography

Lina Nerli Taviani (also credited as Lina Taviani) is an Italian costume designer. Born on 16 November 1937 in Pisa, she began working in the 1960s and received her first film credit on *The Reckless* (1965).

She has designed costumes for more than seventy films and television productions, with the majority directed by her husband Paolo Taviani and his brother Vittorio Taviani. Her credits include *The Night of the Shooting Stars* (1982), *Nostalgia* (1983), *We Have a Pope* (2011), *The Caiman* (2006) and *The Hummingbird* (2022).

Taviani has received several awards, including David di Donatello awards for best costume design for *Rossini! Rossini!* (1992) and *We Have a Pope* (2011), and Nastro d'Argento awards for *Good Morning, Babylon* (1988), *Dearest Relatives, Poisonous Relations* (1992) and *We Have a Pope* (2011).
